Do you have the project management skills needed to take a building design from a blueprint to a reality? Do you aspire to oversee the planning, budgeting and directing of a major construction project? If your dreams go beyond the hammer and nail, a career in commercial construction management may be perfect for you.
Gwinnett Tech’s Commercial Construction Management associate degree program develops skill sets in the areas of employee supervision, drafting and project management. Graduates will have the know-how to tackle problems on the job site, communicate effectively with their employees, and manage the financial and safety side of a construction project. While in the program, students develop their skills through business simulations that prepare students to immediately and effectively impact the work environment.
The program features a new streamlined course format that allows students to more easily take a full course load – even while working. Students may enter the program during any semester and stay on track for completing the program without lost time, even enrolling in summer courses. A more flexible program course schedule means many of the courses will be offered multiple times a year, with morning and evening classes as enrollment permits.
Gwinnett Tech also offers a host of construction industry certificates, including options for commercial construction building inspector, commercial construction contract administrator commercial construction estimator and a new program for sustainable design and construction.
