Culinary Students Bring Delicious Holiday Cheer To Pre-K Class

Culinary Students Bring Delicious Holiday Cheer To Pre-K ClassThis month, students from GTC’s Culinary Arts program brought a taste of holiday cheer to Pre-K students at the D. Scott Hudgens, Jr. Early Education Center in the form of a hands-on gingerbread house building workshop.

These college students and aspiring chefs shared their emerging skills with some even younger students, helping preschoolers at the Hudgens Center build holiday gingerbread houses.

Hudgens Center Director Becky Olson says the creativity that comes along with building the gingerbread houses is a perfect match with the center’s individualized brand of early childhood education.

“We give them the materials and then they create them the way they want and that’s why they all come out looking differently because each child, each person, is different,” she says.
